Overview

How Can I Learn More About The School?

Families may learn more about the Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School at events for prospective families in January. Join us for an Informational Evening which includes a program of speakers such as the Head of School, Board President, family and faculty members. We invite you to come and learn more about our school!

How Do I Enroll?

Families who wish to join the Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School in educating their children must submit an enrollment application form postmarked by the U.S. Post Office or hand-delivered by the deadline, as detailed in the list of all the important dates.

Application Forms will be available on Monday, November 09, 2009 at the public libraries in Franklin, Bellingham, Medway, Millis, Norfolk, and Wrentham, as well as at the Franklin Town Hall, the Franklin Community Center, the Franklin Forge Hill YMCA, the School Office of the Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School, and here on this website. Applications are not accepted via email; they must be hand-delivered or mailed to the school.

Enrollment and Wait List Decision

If the number of applicants exceeds the spaces available, enrollment and wait list decisions are made by lottery. We only retain from year to year the lottery-determined wait list of sibling applicants of current students. If these sibling applicants apply for enrollment again in fall, 2010, they will have first preference in the order established by the 2009-2010 wait list.  Preference is given, in the following order, to:

  • Other applicants who are siblings of currently enrolled students
  • Franklin residents
  • All others who apply

Demographics

Applicants come from many of our neighboring towns. Enrollment is done by lottery and there is no set percentage of students taken from any single town. The enrollment numbers by town for the 2009-2010 school year are:
