Our Very own Mr. Benjamin receives a National Award
We’re one of the TOP 100 Communities in America
for
Music Education!
Rick’s Musical Instruments in Cumberland, RI, was asked by NAMM
in California, to present a plaque of recognition to the BFCCPS’s Music
Director, Mr. Ben Benjamin and the school’s Head of School, Dr. Kevin O’Malley.
The NAMM
foundation has announced the results of the ninth annual “Best Communities for
Music Education” survey, which collected information from schools all across the
U.S. last winter. The result: The Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public
School in Franklin Massachusetts, earned the highest recognition to be one of
the top 100 schools in America who is committed to the inclusion of music
education as part of the overall curriculum.
The NAMM
Foundation supports research that reveals strong correlations between quality
music education in school and academic achievement and they feel that The
Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School has good reason to “blow their
own horn!” Thanks to all who embrace our rich curriculum.
