NAMED "TOP SCHOOL FOR MUSIC EDUCATION IN AMERICA"
Amid a dramatic backdrop of school budget cuts across America, the NAMM
Foundation today
announced the results of its 11th annual “Best Communities for Music Education”
survey,
which acknowledges schools and districts across the U.S. for their commitment to
and
support of music education in schools. The announcement of BFCCPS being on the
list
came Wednesday as a part of NAMM's “National Wanna Play Music Week,” (May 3-7)
a week-long promotion designed to encourage people of all ages and skill levels
to
experience the proven benefits of playing music.
Congratulations to BFCCPS for being named a Top
School in the
Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Talent Search for 2009.
Participating at high levels in the annual CTY Talent Search reflects upon
our school's academic quality, student abilities, and teacher talent.
It also reflects upon the school leadership that encourages students to
seek out educational challenges beyond traditional school walls.
It's a mark of quality for which BFCCPS can be justly proud. Click here to read more
